    Patsy,

I have never blogged before and I have never contacted an author before but I just finished reading "The Midwife of Hope River" and I thoroughly enjoyed it!! My children are the most precious treasures to me. They are all grown up now and I have a grandson who will turn 1 year old tomorrow. My daughter had a midwife and intended to deliver naturally but ended up needing a c-section. All this to say, the subject matter of your book greatly interested me and was close to my heart. I really liked how you developed your characters and your writing style. Somehow I feel a connection with you. It's a shame that liability insurance has prevented you from continuing on with your good work with laboring women. Thank you for writing this book. I look forward to reading another book of yours in the future. Sue

I just read The midwife from Hope River and had to try and make a comment about this story. I LOVED IT! What a great book. I hope you continue to write and I sincerely hope even though the dates on this site say 2011 that P. Harman sees my comment. Totally enjoyable book.
